School History

  1. Gongcheng Elementary School was founded on September 23th,1946 named Private Taiwan Sugar Corporation Sin Ying Factory Employee’s Children’s School.
  2. The name of the school was changed to Private Taiwan Sugar Corporation First School in August, 1947.
  3. In August, 1948, the school was renamed Gongcheng Prospective Elementary School.
  4. The name of the school was changed to Tainan County Gongcheng Elementary School in August, 1968.
  5. The night school was established in August, 1992.
  6. The special education class for the hearing impaired was established in August, 1995.
  7. The home-bound education class and the itinerary services class for the visually impaired were established in August, 1998.
  8. Nan Ying Community College, Gongcheng Branch was established in August, 2000.
